Well, it's a pretty tight race, but I think it was a little weirder.

he's caught even more off guard by the memory itself, which— well, he'd gathered from that dreamscape the other day that there was some weird artificial environment in till's background, but he hadn't expected anything this dystopian when in a lot of ways he seems like one of the most normal people here.
but maybe basilio's a little like that too. he can kind of see their own relationship faintly reflected in this one between till and his mother. he'd always done everything in his power to keep him safe and happy and make him know he was loved despite the cruelty of the world around them. he likes to think he left him that when he died too. ]

[ fidelio is always dwelling on mistakes he feels he made and ways in which he fell short, ways he ended up holding basilio back from reaching his potential in his attempts to protect him. this felt like sort of a reminder that the fact that basilio grew up to be such a warm and cheerful person in spite of his environment means he actually did do some things right. and so it means a lot to him if till could look at these two relationships and feel some parallels himself. ]

[ EMBARRASSING!!! it's not embarrassing, it's cool. imagine getting to die in a cool way, standing up for your family and ideals. till isn't really soothed by that though, because watching someone you really like die is a miserable experience.

[ the way he died was fine, but he was hacking up blood grossly and getting really personal, it was a lot!!! ]
Sorry you had to look at it, obviously. [ ... ] And at the ugly bastard, I guess.
[ cracking a little smile at that part. it's actually been a long process here getting himself to let go of what remained of the respect and gratitude he'd still had for louis in spite of anything. ]
...Anyway, it's fine. Didn't really have many regrets about it... and we've supposedly got the chance to change things now anyway.
