It would appear he ran into some kind of trouble if the prominent handlebar mustache complete with curl and the word "newb" drawn on his forehead are any indication. He appears to be grasping... nothing? With one hand, and he's clearly flustered. His coat also seems to be missing a button. How curious.

[ Better than some of the more negative alternatives, she thinks. She's seen Will dodgy about some things and he's a terrible liar, but she'll take that over an outright hostile toward Fidelio and Basilio. She'd taken pretty good measure of him, too, enough that she can pack that away and ask about another important thing.

I wouldn't betray you to some guy from Euchronia who just got here even if he is Will's friend. He doesn't have a clue I know you, Bas, or Will let alone anything about your world. Hell, for all I knew at the time, he could've been some random guy not even from the same time or some sworn enemy of yours out for blood.
